Our Story

Founded in 1904, Black Pond Baptist Church has been a community cornerstone for over 120 years. We’ve consistently spread the teachings of Jesus Christ, fostered spiritual growth, and served our neighbors. Our rich history is filled with stories of faith, community outreach, and the unwavering dedication of our members. We offer a variety of programs for all ages, including worship services, Bible studies, youth groups, and volunteer opportunities. We are excited to continue our mission and welcome new faces into our warm and supportive church family.

Our Mission

We are a caring and compassionate family dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and families in our community through the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Our vision is to bring hope and healing to those in distress, demonstrating the unfailing love of God, and fostering a supportive community where lives are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority for our faith and practice. It reveals God’s will and guides us in all aspects of life.

2. The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, sharing the same divine nature and attributes.

3. Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only way for forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God.

4. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who are committed to following Him. The Church exists to worship God, nurture spiritual growth, and reach out to the world with the Gospel.

5. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe in the ordinances of baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism symbolizes a believer’s faith in Christ and new life, while the Lord’s Supper commemorates Jesus’ sacrifice and reminds us of His promised return.
